Welcome back! I hope everyone is staying home and staying safe during these trying times. I know how hard it has been to stay at home, especially since that the suns been out more.
Let’s jump right into it, grab a cup of coffee and let us discuss lip products!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a planner! Sometimes I wish I was more of a “go with the flow” kind of person but then I come to senses and think “who am I kidding?”. I plan every aspect of my life including outfits for when I know I will be going out. My first step to planning my outfit is planning my makeup. I start with my lip colour and build my outfit around it. Fun fact: picking the perfect lip colour is one of my favourite parts of my makeup routine. I prefer picking out my lip colour first because the rest just falls in place easily for me. If I am not feeling my lip colour, I will not be feeling my outfit!
Here are my favourite go-to lip products:
- Sephora Collection “01 Always Red” (19$ sephora.com)
This is the perfect red; I must have gone through 5 tubes already! This shade of red is perfect for all undertones, it is a universal red that would compliment everyone. It’s blue hue also brightens up your smile and gives you the perfect pop. I absolutely love the pigmentation and longevity of this stain. This would definitely be my all time favourite red lip.
- Huda Beauty “Heartbreaker” (26.50$ sephora.com)
I would say this lip stain is a great mix of red and fuchsia. To the untrained eye this stain looks red but applying it you will notice a hint of pink. If you’re familiar with Huda Beauty products, you know the pigment and longevity is what you pay for. 1 dip in the bottle is all you need to cover your lips.
- Too Faced “Bend & Snap” (28$ sephora.com)
This colour is a cool toned deep raspberry shade with great pigmentation and longevity. It is a little drying compared to the Sephora Collection and Huda Beauty stain but not uncomfortable.
- Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture “16 Nude Emblem” (49$ sephora.com)
This is a lightweight lip stain, described as a “terracotta pink”, and is perfect for day and night. It is a warm pink shade and is a great “nude” option for all skin tones especially medium to deep tones.
Until Next Time!
