My Current Go-To Eyeshadow Palette

I go through phases with eyeshadow, either I’ll wear it every time I go out or completely neglect it. There is no middle for me. My issue is, do I really want to sit there and blend to perfection, or can I throw on a fierce wing and dramatic lashes and call it a night? I usually go with the latter, unless a single palette is just that good.

My current favourite eyeshadow palette is the Morphe 9B “Bronzed Babe”. By the title of this palette I’m sure you can already guess it’s a bunch of neutrals. You’re not wrong. We have some good browns, oranges, and a few shimmers.

I have been in love with this palette since autumn 2018, and we’re almost in 2019. I usually get bored of palettes a month or so in, but this one kept me hooked. The formulation for the matte shadows are amazing, the pigment is definitely evident. These shadows blend like a dream! You can create day to night looks in no time. I will say this; the shimmers are definitely more on the non-blinding side. They are pigmented but again not-blinding. Of course, if you wanted to intensify the shadows you can spray your brush with some ‘Fix +’ by Mac Cosmetics. Personally, I’m not a big fan of intense glitters and shimmers on my eyes. My favourite look with this palette has been creating a perfect brown smokey eye, a look suitable for both day and night.

Speaking of Morphe, in December 2018 Canada got its very own Morphe store in Mississauga Ontario. If that’s too far, Sephora also carries the brand in store and online. I would recommend the Morphe 9B palette for its artistic versatility, compact size, and for the good quality of shadows you get for a reasonable price.
